Corey Bell is a former AFL player who played for 3 seasons at the Brisbane Bears (Lions) in the Australia Football League between 1991 and 1993.
In that time he played in the Brisbane Bears premiership vs Melbourne Demons in front of 70,000 and also won the Best and Fairest and Best First year player in the same year.
Corey then went on to play professionally across South Australia in the SAFL and Queensland in QAFL over the next 10 years as part of some successful premiership teams including Redlands, in which he was inducted into their Hall Fame.
Since retiring from professional sport in 2000, Corey has since gone on to forge a career as a professional sports administrator where he worked for the AFL leading the biggest region in Queensland, before joining the Gold Coast SUNS as one of the first ever staff members and won the inaugural SUNS staff member of the year.
From there Corey went on to work for the City of Gold Coast as the Sport Attraction Manager working on the 2018 Commonwealth Games before then taking on the role as CEO of Queensland Touch Football and now currently works for Sports Marketing Australia / Sports Marketing International as the General Manager of Partnerships and Commercial – International working in the global sports network.
Over the last few years Corey has taken up Touch Football at a very high level as a winger being part of the winning teams for the Queensland State Cup and more recently winning multiple titles at the NTLS (National Touch Football Championships).
After many years away from AFL, Corey in 2023 was selected to play in the National AFL Masters Championships and after a solid performance across 3 games was selected for the Australian Men’s 50’s team to play 3 International Test games against Ireland in Ireland and the UK in March 2024.
