Pletissha Filitonga, known as Tish, discovered her passion for tennis at just eight years old after being inspired by her older sister’s lessons at Tennis World, Sydney Olympic Park. While her sister eventually moved on from the sport, Tish picked up a racquet through the Hot Shots program and never looked back.

Her love for tennis was further deepened by a special connection to her grandmother, who volunteered for many years at the Brisbane International Tennis tournaments. These early influences laid the foundation for Tish’s dedication and long-lasting commitment to the game.

Throughout her journey, she has crossed paths with Nick Kyrgios and Coco Gauff, and has built a strong, ongoing relationship with her coach, Darren Wood who continues to guide and mentor her.

Tish is currently training with Voyager Tennis Academy & Tennis World, Sydney Olympic Park and proudly represents the Tongan Tennis NSW, who recently supported her participation in the Fiji Open held in Nadi, Fiji.
